Summary. Modus Medium built and maintains the website for Indie-Life Events, a Philadelphia event production and support agency, so a lineup can change days before a festival and the site keeps up.

The problem. Event production runs on a schedule that keeps moving. An artist drops out, a stage time shifts, a venue changes, and it happens during the week of the show rather than the month before. A site that takes a week to update is not part of that process, it is a liability inside it.

Indie-Life Events also does more than book talent. Curation, experiential activations and staffing all sit in the same business, supported by a network of local talent and service providers, and a prospective client needs to see the whole range rather than one festival.

The build. WordPress and Elementor, built from scratch.

  • Structure that carries festivals and events as distinct work, including Parkway100 and Worldtown
  • Built around live performance photography, because the product is atmosphere and the photography is the only thing that conveys it
  • Deliberately tight navigation, four items, so the work stays the focus
  • Maintained on retainer with under 48-hour turnaround on updates, which is what makes show week changes possible

The result. Nine years on retainer. When a lineup changes three days out, it is on the site inside two days.
