Summary. Modus Medium has handled web development for Maestro Filmworks, an Emmy Award-winning Philadelphia film production company, for 13 years, building to designs from their own in-house team.
The problem. Maestro Filmworks came into the most recent rebuild with a slate of new work to show and a design team that wanted something more distinctive than the previous site could carry. The old build was not broken. It was ordinary, which is its own problem for a company whose films are the entire reason anyone visits. A production company’s site has one job before any other: get the work playing before the visitor decides to leave.
The build. WordPress and Elementor, built to designs supplied by Maestro Filmworks’ in-house team.
The result. The rebuild launched ahead of a run of new projects and the company’s most recent Emmy win. Thirteen years and more than one generation of the site later, Modus Medium is still the development side of that team.
This is the one project in the portfolio where the design came from the client. Maestro Filmworks has its own creative team, and for 13 years they have handed that work to Modus Medium to build. Working inside someone else’s process is a different skill from running the whole thing, and this is the page that proves it.
