Summary. Modus Medium built Jason Fraticelli’s first website, then rebuilt it from scratch years later, so a Philadelphia bassist and composer reaches bookers and collaborators through the recordings rather than through a biography.
The problem. Jason Fraticelli has worked the Philadelphia and New York jazz scenes for more than 25 years. He won a Pew grant, which funded the Mothers’ Suite, released on Ropeadope Records in 2014. He has toured and recorded with Cyro Baptista, Melody Gardot, John Medeski and Billy Martin. He performs, composes and teaches.
That range is the asset and the difficulty. A booker, a commissioner and a student each want different evidence, and a musician’s work is usually scattered across a label page, a booking listing and a social feed. None of those belong to him.
The first site Modus Medium built for him solved part of that and was built on Betheme, a multipurpose theme carrying far more than the job required. It was early work. It did not hold up.
The build. WordPress and Elementor throughout, replacing the original Betheme build.
The result. Thirteen years, tied with Maestro Filmworks as the longest relationship in the portfolio, and the only site Modus Medium has rebuilt because its own earlier work no longer met the standard.
Jason Fraticelli has also played bass on Modus Medium client projects for Nokia and Nike.
